Happy Easter!

A Tribute to Nat King Cole...and my folks.

Dyed eggs rolling down a grassy hill,
Raindrops dripping on your nose,
Easter hymns being sung by a choir,
And kids dressed up in their best clothes.

Everybody knows a canned ham and some chocolate eggs,
Help to make the season bright,
Tiny kids with their tums all filled up,
Will find it hard to sleep tonight.

They know that Bunny's on his way;
He's loaded lots of Peeps and baskets on this day,
And every mother's child is going to drop
To see that bunnies really know how to hop.

And so I'm offering this simple phrase,
To kids from one to ninety-two,
Although it's been said, many times, many ways,
Happy Easter to you!
